Englewood & Rotonda

Englewood and Rotonda are located near Charlotte Harbor on the west coast of Florida between Sarasota and Fort Myers/Cape Coral.

Rotonda is known for its five golf courses that are located in the immediate vicinity. Additional golf courses can be found nearby in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Everybody can try their hand at golfing and multiple driving ranges are available. Link to golf courses in the vicinity.

The unspoiled beaches in Englewood and Rotonda are easily accessed from the houses that were carefully built around the vast nature preserves.

Enjoy Englewood Beach on Manasota Key, Gasparilla Island and Venice Beach. The beaches are usually fairly uncrowded. Turner and Bowman's Beach and Captiva Beach are the most beautiful beaches in this area.

Although the islands are easily accessible, they still sport a relaxed Caribbean-style atmosphere.

If you like to unwind and enjoy shelling, these are the perfect beaches for you. With 400 species of shells that wash up against the shore, the Barrier Island communities Manasota Key, Palm Island and Boca Grade, which are connected by bridges, are a rarity among Florida islands.

Near Rotunda, fishing enthusiasts will find one of the best fishing grounds in southwestern Florida. Tarpon, kingfish, grouper, snook, red, bass and trout are among the many species found here. Boca Grande has also been nicknamed the “tarpon-fishing capital of the world.”

Boating enthusiasts can take advantage of the large number of marinas in the vicinity of Rotonda.

The Ringling Museum of Art and the Ringling Bros. show are popular attractions in nearby Sarasota.
